What is belt webbing?
Belt webbing is a strong strap used for making handles and shoulder straps for bags, backpacks, and sports bags. It is strong enough to carry heavy loads without stretching or deforming. In addition to bags, it can also be used for belts, DIY projects, or industrial applications.
What can you make with belt webbing?
- Bags and backpacks: used for handles, shoulder straps, or reinforcement.
- Accessories: such as belts, keychains, or decorative elements on clothing.
- DIY projects: for homemade bags, transport straps, or other creative uses.
Difference between cotton and polypropylene belt webbing?
The main difference between cotton and polypropylene belt webbing lies in the materials and properties:
- Cotton Belt Webbing: Made from 90% cotton and 10% polyamide, this webbing is soft to the touch and has a natural look, making it ideal for fashionable or eco-friendly projects. The polyamide blend adds extra strength and structure.
- Polypropylene Belt Webbing: Made from 100% polypropylene, this webbing is tougher and more resistant to water and wear. It has a more technical look and is often used for sports or outdoor products where durability and sturdiness are essential.
