Lining White Quilted 5cm

Information: Lining White Quilted 5cm has as properties antistatic, light, smooth, warm and has a slight shine and is not stretchable. Quilted lining is a fabric in which a seam connects several layers of fabric and the filling in between. It is also known as step liner. The lining is quilted with a fiberfill (polyester wadding) and is lined on one side.

Lining White Quilted 5cm can be used as a lining where you need warmth and for fabrics that do not stretch. The fabric is widely used for outer jackets and body warmers, but it is also a practical and warm companion and is therefore often used as a lining. If you want to assess the quality and/or the color, it is possible to order a separate sample. In addition to quilted lining, we also have stretch lining and acetate lining.

Is the outer material of your project sturdy enough? Or is the surface rough and you can't move comfortably in it? Does the fabric you use shine through? Need an extra layer for warmth? Then lining fabric is the solution. A lining fabric not only gives that little bit extra for a nice finish, but has a number of properties that make the fabric so well suited as a lining. These fabrics are smooth, supple and contribute to the durability of your garment. The outer fabric wears less quickly due to the extra layer.

Lining fabric is a smooth and movable fabric, so it shifts quickly. It is therefore advisable to place it on a cotton cloth or non-slip mat when cutting the fabric. This keeps the fabric in place. Instead of securing the pattern with pins, secure it with tape or double-sided tape. This prevents small holes in the fabric. For the yarn it is recommended to use high quality Gütermann sew-all thread or if you using a machine overlock thread.
