Stretch Lining Fabric Light Yellow

Information: Stretch Lining Fabric Light Yellow is a knitted fabric with the following properties: smooth, supple, light weight, shiny and stretchable in width. The fabric is made of 100% antistatic polyester. Charmeuse is a lightweight fabric woven with a satin weave and is generally used to line garments. The weave is created by the warp threads crossing a number of the support threads (weft threads). These 'floating' threads give the front of the fabric a smooth, reflective finish while the back has a dull finish. If you are looking for a less shiny smooth stretch fabric, the Ban-lon lining might be a better solution. If you want to assess the quality and/or the color, it is possible to order a separate sample.

Polyester is the most common fabric that can be found in the shops for use as a lining fabric because of its many good properties such as colorfast, dimensionally stable, wear-resistant, light and easy to clean. Suitable for stretch fabrics and also very suitable as an inner lining of a bag or jacket. In addition to stretch lining, we also have non-stretch lining fabrics such as acetate and the quilted lining.

A lining fabric not only gives that little bit extra for a nice finish, but has a number of properties that make the fabric so well suited as a lining. These fabrics are smooth, supple and contribute to the durability of your garment. The outer fabric wears less quickly due to the extra layer.

Synthetic fabrics such as polyester can become static due to friction and attract dust. You pull out your nice homemade jacket from the closet, but then it sticks to your blouse all day long. Of course we know all kinds of tricks to stop this such as antistatic spray, hairspray, lotion, water, fabric softener, etc. But when using antistatic polyester, you do not have these concerns. The fabric is treated so that there are no static frictions.
